This photo is of Matthew Melnyk, one of the founding members of Ecto Force, FL. It comes with a very heavy heart to share that Matthew passed away in 2020. Matthew has been gearing up & helping his community since around 2008. Sadly, due to health concerns, this group he started faced challenges remaining active in the community. After the news of Matthew’s passing, the few remaining members were at a crossroads on what to do with this outstanding group/goal that he helped create. After much deep thought and consideration, we felt it would have been Matthew’s wishes to see this group press on in his memory and continue to impact ALL communities within Florida.

The Cosme’s are ready to believe you! Edwin started gearing up and bustin’ ghosts alongside his wife, Jennifer, in 2021. But don’t let that year fool you! Edwin has always been a huge Ghostbusters fan since childhood and still remembers his excitement as a kid when he first saw the top of Stay Puft’s head walking through the skyscrapers of New York City. Edwin is a Marine Corps veteran who now works in healthcare caring for patients. He loves movies, games, and spending time with his family. He is passionate in caring for others and connecting with people to build new friendships. This Ghostbuster is incredibly proud to wear the EctoForce patch and ready to make a real impact on all communities across Florida!

Jennifer completes the Cosme duo, making EctoForce that much stronger! Jennifer grew up with the original Ghostbusters movie and remembers getting the Kenner Stay Puft figure as a child. Since then, she’s been a huge fan enjoying the Ghostbusters fandom and community. Jennifer was a teacher for 10+ years until she began her current career in healthcare, caring for patients. She loves reading, time with her family, and spending time with friends. Jennifer also wears the EctoForce patch with pride and aims to bring joy to her fellow Ghostbusters and all the communities we meet!

“The Law“
Chris knew from an early age that ghostbusting was in his future. The passion came at an early age when he began watching "The Real Ghostbusters" as a kid. It wasn't until he experienced the original film did he realize it would become a lifelong goal to become a "real" Ghostbuster. Christopher has always looked for a way to give back to the community whether it be through volunteer work while in grade school or through becoming a Sheriff's Office Explorer in his teenage years. The work for the community did not stop while in school but continued through adulthood driving him to become part of our Law Enforcement Community where he would be able to serve and give back on a different level. Christopher came upon the CAT5 Ghostbusters when they made an appearance at Megacon and he knew from that moment there was no better time to continue to fulfil the dream and give back to the community as a Ghostbuster. Chris now proudly wears the EctoForce patch from the inspiration CAT5 has given him.

Originally from Columbus, OH and relocated to Florida in 2020, Brandon has been a fan of Ghostbusters for as long as he can remember. Brandon is a United States Marine Corps Veteran as well as served as a member of the Special Operations Ghostbusters Task Force Unit. You can say Brandon is a Ghostbuster who “Ain’t afraid of no ghosts!”. Brandon wanted to be a Ghostbuster since he had his first introduction in 1988. Brandon is passionate about helping others and bringing smiles to kids of all ages as well as keeping the world safe from the unexplained. When not bustin’ ghosts with Ecto Force or helping his community, Brandon has many other hobbies he enjoys. Brandon is a Musician, Cosplayer, Gamer, Computer Wizard, and a Collector of Music, Funko, and WWE items. Brandon also enjoys travel, photography, and the supernatural. Paranormal Beware!

The self-proclaimed “Collector “of the group, he has a big collection of Ghostbusters Figures, Toys, Memorabilia, along with TMNT, Batman and other toys from the 80’s. “D-man” is passionate about helping others in our community, raising awareness and bringing smiles to kids’ faces of all ages. John was born and raised in the home of the Ghostbusters, so being a New Yorker runs in his blood. He has been a fan of Ghostbusters for as long as he can remember. As a kid, he could always be seen with his RGB figures and firehouse, or running around the neighborhood with his proton pack. When he suited up for the first time, it was like a childhood dream come true. John is passionate about helping others and bringing smiles to kids of all ages. When not bustin’ ghosts with EctoForce or helping his community, he has many other hats he still wears. John is a youtuber, cosplayer, gamer, maker, and handyman. He is always up for the next awesome adventure, and definitely “Ain’t afraid of no ghosts!”

Claudia is one CRAFTY, geeky, & multi-talented Ghostbuster! A true artist at heart, her passions are crafting, cosplay, gaming, charity work, and anything to support children. She is multi-lingual and has a big heart. From an early age, growing up in NY, she has always loved volunteering and giving back to the community. She is immensely grateful to EctoForce for all the opportunities she’s had to support so many great causes and continue to be part of a great team. Being able to bust ghosts with her husband, John, makes it all that much more special.

Chris is one of the original Ecto Force busters and has been with them since the beginning. Chris has lived in Hudson for the past 9 years but a Chicago native at heart. Now residing here in Florida, he designs and builds kitchens and also is currently going to school for Nursing to help his community even more! to quote him, “I don’t know what I’d be doing without the support of my colleagues, they’re family”. Rest assured we are lucky to have him, & no ghost can hide from this guy!

From an early age Ralph was always fascinated in learning how things worked. You will often find him back at the firehouse working on gadgets and gizmos to be ready for the next call. He loves sharing his passion for building ghost busting equipment with new recruits. This passion is blended with his curiosity of the paranormal, occult and human behavior. When not busting ghosts, Ralph is helping others as a Doctor of Psychology. One could say he is a blend of Dr. Egon and Ray.

Tyler brings 20 years of experience from the Information Technology industry to assist the team on development and deployment of high tech gear. Tyler was also a firefighter in Southbury, CT for 10 years until his move to South Florida in 2009. As a father to 3 amazing children, he has focused on raising them right to take care of thy neighbor. Community outreach has always been important to him and he seeks to empower and positively impact the ones around him.

Shawn is a native of Port St Lucie, Florida, and has been a fan of Ghostbusters since he was a little kid, it was a huge part of my childhood he would say. Shawn is a Elementary School teacher for the past 15 years. He loves his family, faith, fishing, Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, his community and more…
In July of 2020 I had a birthday party for my son Zachary, who was turning 5 years old. I found out about Ecto Force and hired them to surprise my son for his birthday. Needless to say, it was a hit, and shortly after I became a member myself.
Ecto Force of Florida is a group that I am proud to call my “family”. I have never seen a group come together with so much passion for putting smiles on people's faces and sharing the excitement and love of Ghostbusters. I am blessed to be apart of such an amazing crew and I am ready to believe you!

“The Teacher“
Born in New England, Brandy moved to Florida at a young age and has been here since, she considers herself a Floridian. She has been teaching for over 24+ years and is beloved in the Local ESE program. She has a passion for teaching students with intellectual disabilities. Working with children was a dream of hers and she has made a career of it. She loves the outdoors, living in the moment, playing darts, kayaking, spending time with family and friends and almost anything paranormal. Ecto Force’s own version of “Janine”, this woman tries to keep the team in line when they are out on a call or anything in between. When she says “ WE GOT ONE!”, you make sure you move!

Ever since the young age of 5, Antonio always had a passion of love for Ghostbusters. He always dreamt of owning a pack and the entire equipment. It wasn't until 2016 where he discovered there was fan groups who geared up and did good things for the community. Then in 2020, after moving from Puerto Rico to Florida, he started looking for groups to join.He found many groups in Florida and eventually joined Ecto Force. Antonio proudly wears his Ecto Force patch in his flightsuit along with the patches of the groups he's part of. No matter what, he'll always answer the call.
